1st Day

Our day began at 530am this morning with all of us being a little nervous about what was to come for the day. After a long day of travel, we finally reached the LWI house in El Salvador around 5:30pm (local time) 7:30pm (eastern time.)

The day was adventurous! We sat next to a group from Wyoming that was on a missions trip to El Savlador to help run some soccer camps and lead some bible studies. That was pretty intresting! The travel ended with a little fun as we went through the El Salvador customs. They have this big traffic light with green and yellow lights on it. After you get checked out you have to press this button and if it blinks green and reads "Pass" you get to go through. If it blinks yellow and says "Revision" with a loud buzz, well that means you were selected to go for another screening. 3 out of our 9 that traveled failed and had to get revised. Then came the long drive to house, but it was all good because we were all glued to the windows checking out all the views.

Once we got here we all jumped in the pool, then ate an amazing meal that was prepared for us. It has been a great start to the week and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us tomorrow. Our day begins at 7:15am with morning devotions.
